About Me

After leaving school at the grand old age of 16, I followed my love and interest for the guitar and started working for Kingfisher Music in Fleet, Hampshire. I had always had an interest in 'how things work' so paid a special interest in the guitar and amp technicians involved in the servicing side. I took my guitar apart many times and wired and re-wired it a variety of ways to test out my theories.

Several years later I started working for a company called Palmbay, who built guitars in the UK. I was trained and spent a year on the 'final assembly' taking necks and bodies fresh from the lacquer shop, adding hardware, pick-ups, wiring and setting up, until everything was ready for despatch. Unfortunately due to cash flow problems, the company closed.

For a short time, I worked for an electronics firm and was trained in assembly to medical spec as well as high voltage. Interesting as it was, my love of guitars was too strong to keep me there.

So, I started work for Guitar Village in Farnham, Surrey and spent the next 12 years working in a variety of areas including set-up and repair. It was during this time that I saw guitarists struggling with a variety of simple connection concepts and I noticed that no-one currently manufactured any solutions. I started developing a unit I call a 'Tone Choke', that I had thought about several times and in an effort to fund it, I decided to make some of those units I thought guitarists would find useful. The more I made, the more guitarists would ask for variations, and that brings us up-to-date.

If you can't find the pedal to suit your requirements, let me know and I'll see if I can build it for you! Who knows, you might be able to solve the problem for many others at the same time!

Take Care
